The WineClub of Cava Kalomenidis organizes a harvest festival at Kappa Estate (Naoussa) on Sunday 15 September 2024!
“A great company gathering to celebrate the harvest and the distillation.”
A few words about Kappa Winery. It’s been 30 years since he planted the first varieties in Anggelochori Naoussa. The winery is a vision of Tasos Karagiozidis. A business executive in Germany, he felt a taste for his place and returned to complete his father’s vision. Wines had excited him on his travels. The 10-acre vineyard in Naoussa hospitably welcomed a very modern winery with high standards. There, together with his partner Eleni Charalambaki, now the winery’s sales and events manager, and oenologist Antonis Alifrangis, they bottle 30,000 bottles of wine a year! A winery open to visitors, with dining, tasting and meeting rooms, available for weddings, christenings and events. There, if you are lucky enough to visit, you will hear Taso play his bouzouki.
The favorite spring event of the wineries opens its doors again and invites wine lovers to visit vineyards and tasting rooms!
The Wine Club 2008 of Cava Kalomenidis follows this time the Wine Roads of Goumenissa and invites you to the excursion organized by the Wine Club to wineries of the region.
Another journey of tasty delights, aromas and why not… the famous brass instrumentshttps://www.cavakalomenidis.gr/en/product-category/wine?filters=poikilia[xinomavro-negkoska-en] of the region awaits old and new members of the Wine Club 2008.
- With the vineyards spreading on the south-eastern slopes of Mount Paikos and with Xinomavro and Negoska (PDO Goumenissa) as the dominant varieties, the zone yields colourful, elegant and soft red wines, but other Greek and cosmopolitan varieties such as Assyrtiko, Malagouzia and Roditis, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc. are also cultivated here.

Love – Quality – Consistency
30+1 years ago, the invitation read:
“You don’t have to be an old soak to go to a winery opening.”
But on this Valentine’s Day, Lakis and Georgia Kalomenidis felt that they had to open a store out of their love for quality Greek wine and more.
In 1993, when the business opened, dozens of barrels (of the Kamba winery) full of Mediterranean retsina were to unite three generations – as the grandfather of the family was involved in viticulture as early as 1927 – to complete the identity of the business in bottled wine.
With the slogan “Small Estates of Large Producers”, contacts throughout Greece, expertise, and professional relationships with all partners that last to date, Cava Kalomenidis has become a reference point for the entire industry.
Ahead of their time, presentation events of wine producers started taking place in the Cava facilities on day one, bringing together wine lovers from different regions, to finally take flesh with the establishment of the Wine Club in 2008. Of course, hundreds of spirits have a special part in the Cava lists, along with a wide range of gift proposals that are constantly updated!
The path that brought us to this day, full of experiences and emotions, is the signpost to continue our beautiful journey of the senses.
Respectfully,
The new generation of the business
